1ST VIOLIN: Hazel Hutchison |
|
| Hazel is a lecturer in the English Department of Aberdeen University, having graduated with a PhD in English Literature in 2001. | ||
| Hazel took up the violin when she was very young, inspired by her Mother, who is also an accomplished violinist. She plays in a number of ensembles in the area and recently played with the All Souls Orchestra from London. Hazel is leader of Concordia String Orchestra. | ||

2ND VIOLIN: Vanda Mazzoleni | |
| Vanda is a full time Music Teacher with Aberdeen City Council teaching primary and secondary pupils within the Aberdeen City area. | ||
| She studied Music and Education at The Northern College of Music, and graduated in 1996. During her course, Vanda studied violin, piano and also learned to play steel pans and became a member of the College's Jamaican Steel Band! | ||
| An active musician, she is conductor of Aberdeen City's Initial String Orchestra which comprises of 90 8 years olds(!) and is often asked to play for concerts and shows. Vanda is deputy leader of Concordia String Orchestra. | ||

VIOLA: Jane Thomson | |
| Jane works in the Corporate Communications Department of Grampian Police and takes pride in having created this web site. | ||
| Over the years, Jane has played in a number of orchestra's including the The National Youth String Orchestra of Scotland, Grampian Sinfonietta and Aberdeen Chamber Orchestra. She now leads the viola section of Concordia String Orchestra. | ||

| Louise is originally from Sussex, England and has recently moved to Aberdeen to work in the oil industry as a Process Engineer. She has a lot of orchestral and quartet experience already and we are delighted that she has agreed to join our merry band! | ||

ADDITIONAL MEMBERS |

| As well as the four core members of the quartet, we sometimes require to use additional players e.g. when there are unexpected work commitments or sickness. Our back up team consists of local musicians we play with in various orchestras around the City. They include Tamara Buchan (violin), Sean Elder (viola) and Glynn Hesketh/Bill Linklater (cello). | ||
